Due to a shark reportedly biting a paddleboarder’s board, several Santa Cruz county beaches have been temporarily closed. The incident occurred Friday near 38th Avenue in Santa Cruz. Beaches between Capitola and Sunny Cove are now officially closed through April 1st.
