The Carmel Police Officers Association last week began purchasing to-go meals for its members to eat during their shifts.
But more than just feeding cops, the association said it is supporting local businesses with its food purchases and asked the public to do the same.
In a Facebook post, the association said buying gift certificates for future meals would also help local restaurants hard-hit by the loss of business while customers shelter-at-home.
The post urged people to show “unity and resilience” during the coronavirus crisis.
