At least 1 person died as the result of a solo vehicle accident this morning. The southbound lanes of Highway 17 were closed south of The Cats restaurant, while the fatal accident was investigated, and the roadway was cleared. The crash occurred just before 3 a.m., and the fast lane re-opened about 4:45 a.m. and the slow lane re-opened just after 6 a.m.
