Santa Cruz Metro has announced a revised schedule, free transit, and reduced schedules in response to the health pandemic.
In a press release issued by Metro CEO Alex Clifford, the following changes are starting Monday (March 23) until further notice:
- School Term bus service such as several UCSC campus or Cabrillo College Express (91x) routes are dropped.
- Entering and exiting through the rear door of the bus is required, unless it is an older model that cannot launch the door, or a passenger with disabilities.
- Fares will no longer be collected at this time.
- Front seating will be reserved for ADA passengers.
- Transit centers and their facilities remain closed.
- And the Weekend service schedule will become 7-days a week, meaning some routes will begin operating at a later time.
