In an effort to curtail the spread of the Coronavirus, known as Covid-19, California Governor Gavin Newsom asks that everyone in California postpone ALL non-essential gatherings through the end of this month…including smaller social gatherings. He wants people to remain at least 6 feet apart. Along with that, Corrections Officials have canceled all daily visits to State Prisons until further notice, as they have no suspected or confirmed cases of the virus in the prison system, and they’d like to keep it that way. The hope is that all of these measures will delay the rate of spread until there is a way to treat those who get Covid-19….while also protecting the elderly and chronically ill in California.
