A popular hiking and biking area should reopen this spring soon after being closed since just before Christmas.
The Land Trust of Santa Cruz County says the Byrne-Millron Forest could reopen sometime in May. The forest features more than 50 miles of hiking and biking trails but was closed due to the expensive work needed for the access road.
