Historical status was denied yesterday for the 61 year-old Circle Church on Santa Cruz’s west side. With that decision, Santa Cruz City Council members upheld an earlier decision by the Historic Preservation Commission. Both of those rulings mean that either 12 new single-family homes could be built on the site on Errett Circle….or 10 single family homes and 6 townhomes could be built there.
