Don’t let that word groundbreaking fool you…State Senator Bill Monning told Good Morning Monterey Bay earlier today that build-out of phase two of the veterans’ cemetery at the former Fort Ord is already underway well ahead of the formal groundbreaking in March.
The Carmel Democrat says the second phase provides for in-ground burials at what has become a popular military cemetery.
