Chef Eric Jan Adema of Plus One Catering is bringing community together, one plate of food at a time in Boulder Creek.
Eric discusses his charitable work in an interview with KSCO.
In this interview, Eric discussed how he went from the restaurant business to catering in order to establish a positive experience free of the social media criticism and “hangry” customers that are prevalent in the restaurant industry.
Last summer, Eric set up a tent in local parks serving the leftovers from his catering services.
That idea ballooned to hosting a prime rib dinner during Christmas, and then became a weekly gathering to provide food for the less fortunate in Boulder Creek.
The weekly dinner, called “Operation Feed the People”, is hosted Wednesdays from 5 to 7 PM at the Oddfellows building in Downtown Boulder Creek.
