A ban on pesticide linked to brain damage and other ailments in children went into affect in California yesterday.
The chemical Chlorpyrifos, used on a variety of crops, is thought to be the cause of reduced IQ, attention disorders and low birth weight in children. It’s used by farmers to control worms and other pests.
The chemical company “corteva” said yesterday it will stop making chlorpyrifos due to declining sales.
