Police in King City police say they have arrested a Greenfield High School teacher on 158 felony counts. The charges include five counts of forgery, 51 counts of embezzlement, 51 counts of theft of public funds and 51 counts of falsifying a doctor’s note.
Detectives won’t give an exact amount of money they allege Adrienne Lara embezzled, but say it was more than the felony threshold of $950.
Police also won’t say much about the alleged fake or altered doctors’ notes but will say they don’t believe anyone else was involved in the scheme, first reported by the school district.
