Santa Cruz tax expert Bill Oaks says some people are shy about automatic tax payments to the IRS, state and other tax collectors. The concerns, he says, may not outweigh the convenience to the taxpayer.
Oaks, of the non-profit group SCORE, is both a small business mentor and an enrolled agent. That means he is authorized to represent taxpayers before the IRS.
Oaks will be part of a small business tax workshop that SCORE will be holding on the 12th at the Simpkins Family Swim Center here in Santa Cruz.
