On Sunday morning, Salinas Police were alerted to a break in on South Main Street at Nissen Road.
During the encounter, one officer reportedly fired their weapon.
This incident is following another Salinas officer-involved shooting that took place less than a month ago.
The cause of this incident is still under investigation by the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office.
