The reward has been substantially increased for anyone providing information that leads to the arrest (and conviction) of the person (or people) who killed a Gray Wolf a little over a year ago. OR-59, the first wolf killed after the re-introduction of wolves into their ancestral habitat, was born in northeast Oregon, and had traveled 300 miles south, before being killed in Modoc County California. The reward for information has been raised from 25-hundred dollars to 75-hundred dollars. Last year, the courts upheld protection for Gray Wolves under the California Endangered Species Act.
