A fatal apartment fire investigation in Salinas has been concluded. Fire investigators have ruled the October 3rd apartment fire on Garner Avenue accidental. The investigation found that the fire most likely was caused by a faulty power strip. Resident Daniel Smith died died while receiving treatment from smoke inhalation and thermal burns after being pulled from the burning structure.
