The 18-year-old resident of Carmel who was placed under arrest for killing a woman in Salinas reached a plea of not guilty in court.
The 18-year-old, Jacques Clark, was driving a Mazda and rear ended a Toyota Camry, killing the driver and severely injuring the passenger.
The bail set for Clark has risen to $380,000.
