Bill Callahan, a long time resident of Santa Cruz County, passed away earlier this month on December 6th. He was known locally as Bill the Oysterman. He started several seafood farming businesses in the area. He also taught biology and chemistry at Watsonville High School for 23 years. He is survived by his wife and college sweetheart, Anne as well as numerous other close family members. There will be a celebration of his life next year in April.
