Salinas police need your help finding the hit-and-run driver who killed a 45-year-old woman and her dog late Sunday night.
Officers were called to John and Work streets around 11 PM Sunday. They say the victim, identified as Channey Ayala, may have been crossing the road when both were struck by the hit-and-run driver.
The dog died at the scene. Ayala died earlier today at the local hospital.
