On Tuesday, local congressman Jimmy Panetta announced that federal funding was made available for two local healthcare facilities.
Salud Para La Gente in Watsonville and Clinica de Salud del Valle de Salinas received over $4.6 million combined.
With this announcement Congressman Panetta stated that “These grants will help our health centers provide community members with the care that they need and deserve”.
Funding for these grants was made possible through programs that distribute Affordable Care Act funding.
