Salinas Romaine sickens 67 people across USA 11-26-19 15:43 DC

There have now been 67 reported cases of E coli linked to romaine lettuce grown in the Salinas area. That is 27 new cases since last Friday, according the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Nobody has died so far, but 39 hospitalizations have been reported in 19 states. Six victims are suffering kidney failure.

If you have romaine lettuce, check the package to see where it was grown.

If the says Salinas or has no location listed, throw the lettuce away. You should also wash or sanitize drawers or shelves that were in contact with the lettuce. And don’t forget to scrub your hands as well.
