Thanksgiving weekend is one of the busiest holidays to travel according to AAA.
In an interview with KSCO, CHP Officer Danny Maher offers the following travel tips…
- Make sure your car is ready to go.
- Inspect your tires, ensure there is not substantial tread wear.
- Ensure your windshield wipers are fully operational.
- Allow for plenty of time for getting to your holiday destinations.
- Expect delays.
Motorists are also advised to drive sober, or get pulled over.
Last year during the Thanksgiving holiday, over 900 arrests were made across the state by CHP as a result of drunk driving.
