It’s another “me too” moment, but this time it involves the chairman of the University of California Board of Regents.
Rebecca Ora, a grad student at UC Santa Cruz, claims that she and a group of other students were invited to dinner in November of 2014 by regent George Kieffer. During the dinner, Ora says, Kieffer was groping her under the table.
The 72-year-old Kieffer denies the claim. The date of the alleged incident was before the enactment of a board policy that requires that regents undergo a training program for sexual harassment prevention.
