Scotts Valley is considering raising sales-tax to solve city financial problems. The city is considering a sales tax increase of up to 1.25%, which would raise sales tax to 9.75 percent. The increase would raise an estimated 3 poin3 million dollars annually. The tax would either be temporarily imposed for 10 years , or more likely be a permanent tax.
