A one thousand dollar reward is offered for any information that will lead to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for throwing objects at cars on the highway 156 and 101 corridor in Prunedale.
The c-h-p is also trying to get the public involved in solving the mystery by offering these tips if you’re the target of one of the projectiles:
- Proceed to a safe location and stop as soon as possible. Immediately call 911, ask for chp.
- Stay in your vehicle and wait for chp to arrive. Do not disturb any physical evidence within your vehicle.
- Note the exact time and location of the incident. For location, drivers can use mile post markers, freeway exits or a local business.
- Keep an eye out for anything unusual at the time such as cars, trucks, or pedestrians nearby.
There are 38 reported cases of cars hit by projectiles and almost always on the driver’s side window and the object is thought to be marble size.
