The start of this year’s Commercial Crabbing Season has been delayed until later this month. In an effort to decrease the chances of the whales (currently along the coast) getting ensnarled in fishing lines, the start of the commercial crabbing season is being changed from November 15th to November 22nd (south of the Mendocino/Sonoma county line). Commercial traps may be set, and baited, 18 hours in advance of the November 22nd opening.
