California Coastal Commission staff are expected to recommend rejecting Cal-Am’s proposal to build a de-salination plant in Marina….citing a number of issues, including its’ potential adverse effects on coastal resources and low-income ratepayers. When they meet November 14th in Half Moon Bay, Coastal Commissioners are scheduled to vote on the desalination project.
