Watsonville police are warning folks about a scam involving a winning lottery ticket.
An unsuspecting woman was swindled out of 6-thousand dollars when a couple approached her in the parking lot of shopping center on freedom blvd.
The couple convinced the woman to buy what they said was a winning lottery ticket because they told her… they were unable to cash in the ticket because of their immigration status.
Police say, be on the look out for the couple driving a silver Chrysler Pacifica. In the security cam the woman is wearing a white hat and the man has on a gray hat and gray shirt. Anyone who has seen this couple is asked to call Watsonville police.
