The coroner’s reports on 2 Santa Cruz County Jail inmate deaths have been released and the coroner found that while former neurosurgeon James Kohut committed suicide, by severing his own femoral artery; 24 year-old German Carillo was strangled in the cell he shared with 2 other inmates. Detectives are investigating the homicide case.
