A plan to develop a parcel of land off highway 101 and Betabel Road in San Benito County is meeting some opposition.
The proposed “Betabel project” is estimated to raise 2-million in annual taxes for the county but some residents in the area are opposed to building on the open space.
A petition is circulating to halt the vintage project which is described as a roadside attraction of agriculture and kid friendly exhibits the owner of the land says he plans to donate all proceeds from development to pediatric cancer research.
