Celebrated author and Salinas native John Steinbeck will be remembered later this month when contents of a locker in new york city will be auctioned off.
Steinbeck’s locker is full of manuscripts, decorative objects and a journal and are now in possession of his third wife’s family.
Most notable is a warm up journal Steinbeck used for his notes and before doing his formal writing. The journal is expected to fetch 20-thousand dollars.
