For the 2nd year in a row, there’s a pink police cruiser on the streets of Watsonville. That’s in an attempt to raise awareness about breast cancer, and the importance of pre-screening. This is the 4th year that Watsonville police officers have taken part in the fundraiser known as the Pink Project. Last year the department raised more than 9 thousand dollars….that was given to Dominican Hospital’s Katz Cancer Resource Center. Those funds will be used to help Watsonville families afford breast cancer treatment, or services.
