The driver of a produce truck killed yesterday in Castroville is identified as Isabel Montes of Marina.
Montes was killed when her truck was it by a union pacific train around 1-pm near Highway 183 and Mcfadden Road. According to investigators, the truck made a sudden turn in front of the train at an intersection where there were no crossing arms.
The impact was so severe that the truck was split into several large pieces… some were found 30-feet from the site of the crash.
