The California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery has been awarded a federal grant. The 6.4 million dollar grant is from the National Cemetery Administration, which is under the umbrella of the Department Of Veterans Affairs. The money will be used for the expansion of the Veterans Cemetery on the Former Fort Ord….including the construction of more than 1800 pre-placed crypts, more than 1000 in-ground cremains gravesites, and 80 memorial wall plaques.
