The Monterey County Sheriff utilized the SWAT team to execute a search warrant in Castroville on Thursday. Following a month long investigation prompted by tips, deputies obtained a warrant for a home near Poole Street and Blevins Way. The search uncovered 6 pounds of methamphetamine, over 4 pounds of heroin, 3 handguns and over 12 thousand dollars in cash. 42 year old Miguel Vargas and 8 others were booked into Monterey County Jail on multiple charges.
