The National Transportation Safety Board announced the findings of its investigation today from the deadly labor day fire aboard the conception.
Federal investigators say commercial dive boats like the conception are required to have a crewmember on night watch duty… and it was revealed that all crew members were sleeping when the blaze broke out at 3-am and nobody was standing watch.
34-people perished when conception caught fire… many of those are from Santa Cruz.
The wreckage was pulled from the ocean floor today and federal investigators are hoping they’ll be able to find a cause of the fire.
