The CHP investigated a fatal accident in the Pleasure Point area Monday afternoon. CHP and Santa Cruz Sheriff’s deputies closed 30th Avenue at Portola and Brommer Streets shortly before 2 p-m due to a traffic fatality near 30th and Lewis Circle, wher an 80 year old female motorist in a 2011 Prius collided with 4 parked cars before hitting a mailbox and coming to a stop. The driver was pronounced dead of an undetermined cause. The roadway was reopened at about 4 p-m. At this time the drivers identity is being withheld pending notification of kin.
