A fire broke out last night in a tent in a homeless encampment in Salinas. Firefighters were able to quickly contain it to a 50×50 foot spot. The blaze near the intersection of North Main Street and West Lake Street started a out 6:20 p.m.
The smoke was reportedly highly visible in downtown Salinas.
