Authorities in Salinas are investigating a dog found dead and severely burned. The case began on August 2nd when policeresponded to an east Salinas neighborhood to reports of burned dog. The breed of the canine was indeterminable because the burns. It was determined the dog was about 35 pounds, reddish in color and a female. Any one with any information is encouraged to contact the SPCA.
