A Prescribed Burn was started about 11 o’clock this morning in the Santa Cruz mountains. They’re working to reduce the fuel load in the area off Empire Grade Road near Jamison Creek. Although they plan to shut down today’s burn about 4 p.m., the smoke is expected to linger in the area for a couple of days.
