At approximately 4:03 this afternoon, Santa Cruz Police responded to a shooting incident on the 900 block of Pacific Ave near the Metro Bus Station. A conflict between two individuals resulted in several shots fired. Both the suspect shooter and the victim fled the scene. Officers recovered the firearm. At this time, there are no injuries reported by any parties related to this incident. An unoccupied parked vehicle was struck multiple times, and multiple shell casings were found at the scene.
Detectives continue to follow up on leads and look for additional video evidence to identify the subjects involved. Gang investigators are following up on any possible ties to this incident.
