The 19 year-old gunman, who shot randomly into the crowd yesterday at the Gilroy Garlic Festival, killing 3 people and injuring a dozen more, is believed to have used a tool to cut through a perimeter fence to get into the festival. 6 year-old Steven Romero was killed and his mother and grandmother were injured in the shooting, as were a number of other people. Those shootings occurred between the Vineyard Stage and the Bounce House, over on the “Ranch” side of the festival. Shooter Santino William Legan, who lived in his father’s home in Gilroy, is said to have been shot and killed within a minute of when he opened fire on the crowd. The Gilroy Chief Of Police plans to hold a press conference at 10 o’clock this morning.
