A fire broke out around 2:30 p.m. today in the Cypress Knolls area of the Former Fort Ord. The abandoned duplex (where the blaze broke out) was allowed to burn down as firefighters formed a Fire Protection Boundary around the structure. They expect to remain on-scene tonight.
