On Friday, the Monterey County Emergency Medical Care Committee hosted a special meeting where the community and first responders shared their concerns over the next RFP and contract proposal.
County firefighters called for changes to the contract and want more input in the decision.
In May, Monterey County rejected its lone bid – from incumbent provider American Medical Response forcing the county to come up with a new RFP.
