Shark warning signs have been posted at several Santa Cruz County beaches. The signs warn beach goers of a large population and sightings of Great White sharks at New Brighton, Seacliff and Manresa State beaches. The beaches have been posted for several months. The rise in local sightings mean the warnings will be posted on a permanent basis.
