The unofficial mascot of a Pacific Grove elementary school has died. Calvin, the 25 to 30 pound cat that greeted families at Robert H Down Elementary School was recently attacked by 2 dogs. Although he made it through a 4-hour special surgery to repair his extensive injuries, he died several days later from complications.
