A deadline on a water purchase agreement with Cal-Am Water wasn’t met this week, and that means that the recycled water project known as Pure Water Monterey is in default. That means that Cal-Am could exercise it’s right to terminate the agreement, but Cal-Am has decided not to do that….yet. The agencies backing the project now say they expect water to be delivered by September or October.
