As part of future expansion goals, the Monterey Peninsula Airport District is working to acquire land that is adjacent to the Monterey Regional Airport. The property would largely be paid for with a Federal Aviation Administration Grant. The 5.5-acre parcel is located at 2801 Monterey-Salinas Highway. The current tenants will be able to remain in the building there.
