Late last night, the Monterey County Emergency Communications Center reported that they were having a technical issue, that was impacting their Non-Emergency Phone Lines. The problem is not impacting their 9-1-1 service, just the Non-Emergency Lines. Those who need non-emergency services on the Monterey Peninsula, in the Carmel (or Carmel Valley) or Big Sur areas are encouraged to call (831) 796-1803, while those in Salinas and North Monterey County areas can call 796–1804, and people in South Monterey County can call 796-1806, for Non-Emergency Police, or Fire, Services.
