Salinas fire fighters used bulldozers to contain a brush fire on Saturday. The blaze broke out shortly before 3:30 p-m in a field between the Constitution Soccer Complex and Creekbridge Fitness and quickly prompted the evacuation of an apartment complex as well as concerns at a nearby shopping mall. After containment lines were made around the area residents were allowed to return home. The cause of the fire has yet to be announced.
