Two pit bulls are recovering today after being left in a hot car in San Juan Bautista earlier this week.
A passerby notified police when they saw the two dogs inside the car with no water and cracked windows in the direct sunlight in triple degree heat.
Police along with sheriff’s deputies and the chp broke into the car and the pets were taken to the Hollister animal shelter and treated for dehydration.
The owner was sited for leaving the animals unattended in a hot vehicle.
